osmCp1 Promoter used to Express RFP

For version 2 of our experiment, we will be using osmCp1, a promoter within the osmC gene (Figure 2). It is a stress-induced (osmotic) promoter. Our new promoter region contains 66 base pairs. We will remove codons from the beginning of the sequence so that we can determine if the promoter was inserted properly based on gel electrophoresis and to prevent a frameshift mutation. We can remove the primers because they will be provided and attached later on in the process. We removed the first 12 bases (4 codons) and attached the Gold Gate sticky ends.
